Job Overview

The Freight Project Lead will be responsible for driving regional rail freight projects to boost network performance and capacity.

This is a critical role that requires collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver integrated transport solutions.

The successful candidate will possess strong project management skills, enabling them to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project scopes, specifications, and optioneering to balance commercial, infrastructure, operational interfaces, and freight capacity and efficiency objectives.
  • Apply project management methodologies to drive project development and implementation, ensuring completion within time, budget, and scope.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on operational design and delivery, infrastructure design and delivery, particularly the clear definition of project objectives and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in the rail industry or equivalent logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in a project management role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Victorian rail network, specifically freight flow and its key limitations/interfaces.
