Regulatory Affairs Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team at Energy Australia. As our new Regulatory Pipeline Lead, you will play a critical role in monitoring and identifying wholesale regulatory changes, ensuring that our business is well-positioned to adapt to the evolving regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including the Legal and Regulatory teams, to understand the pipeline and likelihood of upcoming regulatory change.
- Monitor and identify regulatory change, developing a comprehensive wholesale regulatory change roadmap and plan.
- Review and translate the impact of regulatory requirements on business processes and systems, representing the wholesale teams at external forums.
- Degree and/or tertiary qualification in a related discipline, such as law, business, or a related field.
- Experience reviewing and translating regulatory requirements into business process and system requirements, preferably within a wholesale energy setting.
- Experience working with internal legal and regulatory teams and external regulatory bodies to manage rule changes.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with multiple streams of a regulatory change program and develop a consolidated program roadmap.
- Understanding of the Australian wholesale energy sector, regulatory environment, and obligations.
