Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a Nutrition & Regulatory Specialist to enhance our team. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring that our products adhere to regulatory standards while providing exceptional nutritional benefits. Whether you are an emerging talent or a seasoned professional, your expertise will be valued at Fonterra.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify compliance of all products with local and international food regulations.
- Conduct thorough nutritional evaluations and offer expert recommendations on product formulations.
- Maintain precise records and documentation for regulatory compliance and submissions.
- Collaborate with Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams to uphold regulatory and nutritional standards.
- Stay informed about the latest changes in regulations and advancements in nutritional science to foster continuous product improvement.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to provide expert insights on regulatory and nutritional issues.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of regulatory strategies to support new product initiatives.
- Review and authorize product labels to ensure they meet relevant regulatory requirements.
- Deliver training and support to internal teams regarding regulatory and nutritional standards.
- Assist the consumer services department in addressing nutrition-related inquiries.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in regulatory compliance and nutrition, although we also welcome recent graduates. Key qualifications include:
- A bachelor’s degree in nutrition, food science, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of food regulations and industry best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and communication abilities, with a talent for influencing and collaborating across teams.
- Proven experience in conducting nutritional assessments and advising on product formulations.
- Experience in maintaining accurate records for regulatory submissions.
- Industry experience, particularly in the dairy sector, is preferred.
