**Job Summary:**

The Victorian Government is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead and manage the Strategic Sourcing team involved in all phases of strategic sourcing activities with a focus on value creation opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Navigate competitive environments
  • Negotiate with suppliers
  • Generate contracts to ensure seamless availability of products and services
  • Work closely with the Category Management team to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies
  • Support the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), providing leadership and advice to the Procurement branch on a range of sourcing needs

**Requirements:**

  • Experience managing, leading and developing a team delivering strategic sourcing and contract management
  • Expert influence and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and finalise contracts with suppliers to deliver the best possible outcomes for the department
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices and procedures and financial management systems with at least five years' experience in strategic sourcing
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
