We are seeking a compassionate and skilled care assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to clients in their own homes.

About the Role:

  • ">
  • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities, following the client's care plan.">
  • Work closely with registered nurses to deliver high-quality care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.">
  • Identify client care needs and work collaboratively with the care team to ensure holistic care.">
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members.">
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence.">
  • Maintain accurate daily client notes and report any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.">
  • Support clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings under the supervision of an RN.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent)">
  • Current Senior First Aid HLTAID011, CPR HLTAID009, and Manual Handling HLTWHS005 (with 3+ months until expiry)">
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence">
  • NDIS Screening (or willingness to get)">
  • Strong expertise in mental health care">
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients">
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care">
  • Commitment to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures">
