Position Overview
Our Taxation division presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned business services accountant with a strong interest in tax to step into a leadership position within the team. This role encompasses a mix of client-centric responsibilities, team leadership, and workflow oversight. You will ensure exceptional service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders by gaining a comprehensive understanding of each client's unique situation and facilitating the efficient operation of the Taxation division.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing tax compliance projects, conducting research, and providing guidance on intricate tax matters.
- Delivering taxation consultancy services, drafting reports, and addressing client inquiries.
- Preparing income tax returns for complex client entities.
- Assisting in the management, coordination, and delegation of client assignments (including workflow scheduling and budget preparation).
- Reviewing team outputs and mentoring junior staff in their professional growth.
- Identifying and pursuing new business development and referral opportunities within the firm.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or a related undergraduate qualification.
- Professional credentials such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), or an equivalent designation.
- At least 4 years of experience in professional services, with a strong emphasis on business advisory and compliance.
- A keen interest in tax advisory services.
- Experience with larger client portfolios and complex business structures involving multiple entities and technical challenges.
- Proven experience in client relationship management and workflow oversight.
