Job Description

Australia's energy system and market operator aims to ensure safe, reliable and affordable energy today and enable the transition for all Australians.

The lead of a team responsible for delivering high-quality network planning analysis, insights, and advisory services for Victoria's Declared Shared Network plays a crucial role in ensuring the network can integrate investment needed for net zero emissions.

This newly created position requires someone who excels in ambiguous situations, collaborating with existing colleagues to define responsibilities, refine processes and find effective solutions. Expertise in network planning and operations is highly desirable.

  • Leading technical services to integrate network assets and system services into Victoria's Declared Shared Network, coordinating projects from Planning through to Delivery.
  • Overseeing network and system performance monitoring, ensuring operational issues inform Network Planning to strengthen power system resilience.
  • Providing expert technical advice on the operational shift from thermal generation to high renewable penetration.
  • Building and empowering a high-performing team, modelling values and managing budget, compliance, risk and workforce planning.
  • Establishing strong relationships and delivering action plans that enhance engagement and support strategic goals.
