About The Role
The Executive Director, Alcohol and Other Drugs Policy and Programs will be responsible for leading a new branch within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Division tasked with leadership of the public AOD system, ensuring policy, programs and reform are aligned with government priorities and deliver improved health and wellbeing outcomes. The role is responsible for system stewardship, performance and commissioning and reform implementation across harm reduction, treatment and support services.

About You
- Possess senior leadership experience in managing complex public sector budgets, commissioning, contracting and operational functions.
- Have an understanding of contemporary AOD systems and services, and harm reduction approaches.
- Experienced in development of strategic legislative reform and policy development
- Expereience in leading performance oversight and stewardship including commissioning, operational policy development and implementation, provider performance and improvement
