Human Resources Policy Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled HR Policy and Compliance Officer to join our People & Culture team at Charterhouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-level advice on Human Resource policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and maintain HR policies in collaboration with HR Business Partners.
- Ensure policies comply with relevant legislation and align with the organization's priorities.
- Research and assess HR policies from similar organizations to promote best practices.
- Act as a policy advisor, providing guidance and interpretation on HR policies and procedures.
- Support management across all levels with professional HR advice, particularly concerning HR policy, equity, diversity, anti-harassment, and complaint resolution.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience providing HR policy and project advice in a local government or similar environment.
- Strong research, conceptual, and analytical skills, with experience in developing HR policies and procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including equity, diversity, anti-harassment, and anti-bullying.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively.
