Forensic Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a Forensic Intervention Specialist to join our team at Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) as part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety - Corrections Victoria. The successful candidate will be a registered Mental Health Nurse with experience in delivering best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments, to determine appropriate treatment pathways.
  • Conduct clinical interviews to inform treatment interventions employing evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, treatment reports, and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role:

This role will see you working in a multidisciplinary team, delivering best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment. As a Forensic Intervention Specialist, you will be working within the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model, delivering a wide range of individualised services to support the expansion of our clinical workforce.

Key Requirements:
  • Registered as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
  • Current driver's licence.
