About the Role

We are seeking experienced professionals in psychology, social work, mental health nursing or occupational therapy to join our team of forensic clinicians at the Department of Justice and Community Safety Victoria.

Job Summary

As a Forensic Intervention Specialist, you will build on your existing expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based, best-practice forensic intervention in a supportive correctional environment. You will work within the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model, delivering a wide range of individualised services including comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, treatment interventions, and travel to correctional facilities is required.

Eligibility

To apply, you'll need to hold, or be eligible for, one of the following:

  • General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
  • Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
