Searson Buck is seeking a temporary Health and Safety Advisor to provide expert WHS support and ensure compliance with relevant legislation across the operations of a well-known, state-operated organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist WHS advice and guidance across various divisions.
- Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with WHS and legislation.
- Coach and influence team members to cultivate a positive safety culture.
- Assist in developing and reviewing risk assessments, JSEAs, and safety management systems.
- Lead safety investigations and support incident management processes.
- Deliver internal WHS training and mentor managers on incident investigation procedures.
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
- Lead Auditor qualifications (AS4801/ISO45001).
- 4-5 years local experience in safety auditing, incident investigations, and WHS compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Familiarity with WHS and marine legislation is desirable.
