**Adolescent and Family Support Specialist**
We are seeking a skilled professional to provide person centred support to young people and families.
The successful candidate will deliver a strengths-based, psychological therapeutic approach to assist reconciliation between young people and their families. The primary goal is to ensure young people stay within the family home, are restored to their family or work towards independent living where this is acceptable and appropriate.
The Adolescent and Family Support Specialist will offer a range of services including information and advice, support, advocacy and counselling. Medium to long term casework, mediation and referrals to relevant agencies or specialist services will also be a key focus of this role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide person centred support to young people and families
- Deliver a strengths-based, psychological therapeutic approach
- Assist in reconciliation between young people and their families
- Develop and implement individualised plans for young people and families
- Collaborate with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrated skills in assessment, referrals and coordination of care for young people
- Demonstrated ability to use person centred frameworks and a strengths-based approach
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of mediation and conflict resolution
- Ability to maintain comprehensive and professional client information
- NSW Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and First Aid & CPR certificate required
