Be Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Caseworker to join our team. As a Child and Family Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive client assessments, identifying potential risks, and providing immediate crisis intervention as needed. You will develop tailored action plans to address client needs, facilitating referrals to appropriate internal or external support services. Your role will involve maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of all assessments, interventions, and client progress while ensuring strict confidentiality. You will collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including counsellors, caseworkers, and community service providers, to deliver holistic client support. Your responsibilities will also include performing regular follow-ups with clients, reviewing and adjusting action plans to ensure ongoing support and positive outcomes. You will stay informed on relevant legislation, community resources, and service providers to offer accurate and current information to clients. You will prepare detailed reports on client outcomes, service gaps, and areas for improvement within the support services framework. You will respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations, providing de-escalation strategies and immediate support as necessary. To be successful in this role, you will require a relevant bachelor's degree in community services, social work, or a related field. You will also need at least two years of paid experience as a child protection or family-focused caseworker. You will have a strong understanding of child protection issues and legislative requirements. You will have extensive experience in conducting family-focused assessments and proven experience working within various practice frameworks and theoretical models of intervention. You will be able to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) children, young people, families, and communities, including using interpreters when needed. You will be skilled in developing strengths-based case plans involving clients, their families, and the community. You will be capable of working towards clear objectives in short-term case coordination. You will hold a current NSW Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
