Remarketing & Loss Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Remarketing & Loss Recovery professional to lead our team in Melbourne, Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving auction partners to achieve best possible sale prices on all repossessed assets and managing the returns and excess charges for all operating lease products.

  • Drive our Auction Partners to achieve best possible sale prices on all Repossessed Assets & monitor all Operating Lease inspections, invoicing and returns
  • Manage and communicate the direction and performance of the Remarketing & Recoveries teams to key stakeholders
  • Manage the returns and excess charges for all Operating Lease products (standard, EVP & Rental)
  • Develop effective relationships with Agility & Simplicity retailer & brand partner relationships, return process including inspections, vehicle condition reports, payments and hand back eligibility, and supporting internal reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver efficiency gains and productivity improvements which net FTE savings, create re-deployment opportunities, or increase return on FTE
  2. Devise, implement, and deliver against key focus areas including sales performance, stock levels, valuation accuracy, cure rates, net cost of risk, write offs, shortfall contracts, sale of bad debt including spot sale, minimizing loss rates on delinquent accounts, and managing vendor relationships
  3. Develop & maintain an effective operating rhythm which balances the mix of team and individual interactions directly, and via Team Leaders with a view to: create a highly engaged, high performing, collaborative team environment; best in class training, coaching, and personal development for all team members with a view to maximise career development and success planning opportunities

This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving business growth and improving customer experiences. A strong interest and knowledge of the automotive sector, industry knowledge focusing within the finance, insurance, banking, and a sound working knowledge of relevant legislation would be beneficial.
