About The Role:

We're looking for a warm, dedicated Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our Surgical Centre team. You'll play an essential role in supporting patients through the pre-admission and post-operative phases of their care.

You'll be responsible for assessing patients' readiness for surgery, providing clear and compassionate education to them and their families, and ensuring safe, attentive care during the immediate post-operative period.

Key Requirements:

We're seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered/Enrolled Nurse who brings a blend of experience, flexibility, and strong communication skills.

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • At least 2 years of experience in a surgical centre/day surgery or in admissions/discharge within a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of 4-8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, across a rotating roster (no weekends, nights, or public holidays)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and confidently with patients and their families
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathy, especially in high-pressure or sensitive situations
  • A collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
