We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team in a Surgical Ward. As a Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of specialties, including Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery, Urology, Upper Gastrointestinal, General surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular surgery and Breast and Endocrine Surgery.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centred care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes. We support continuing education for all staff through our department and have clinical nurse educators on the ward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans, incorporating evidence-based practice
  • Monitor patient progress, identifying opportunities for improvement and escalating concerns as necessary

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Surgical Unit
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with electronic patient record systems
  • Previous experience within a hospital setting is highly regarded
  • Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
