Job Description

Norwest Private Hospital is a leading healthcare provider seeking experienced Registered Nurses with surgical nursing experience to join our established nursing team. Our hospital prioritizes patient-centred care, and we strive to deliver an exceptional healthcare experience that encompasses every aspect of patient care.

Our Surgical A ward is a 36-bed unit specializing in general surgery, colorectal, plastic surgery, metabolic and bariatric surgery. We have well-developed expertise in stoma care and wound management.

The ward offers support for all new employees through preceptorship providing guidance. The team are further supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialists. Our experienced team would welcome your passion for nursing and focus on patient centred care in a team environment.

Requirements
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 3 years surgical experience
  • Working with Children check
  • Specialty nursing experience - general adult surgery -Bariatrics, Colorectal, Plastics
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
