Acknowledging our connection to the land and its people, we seek a talented professional to join our team in driving the delivery of an exciting communication program.

We are looking for a skilled Communications Advisor to leverage their expertise and knowledge in supporting the development and delivery of communications activities aligned with our Corporate Affairs strategies.

Focusing on our work with industry partners across various science and technology areas, this role will deliver a range of activities including writing media releases, blogs, creating digital and social media content, writing web content, assisting with event management, drafting communication plans, and managing media.

This is a diverse role where you'll develop and execute strategic communication plans, driving opportunities for scientists through new business partnerships. As a Communications Advisor, you'll contribute to ensuring our brand is relevant, engaging, and accessible. You possess strong interpersonal skills, which enable you to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders across the business.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of integrated communication plans leveraging media relations, digital, and social content, and marketing communications to build and protect our brand.
  • Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with researchers, project partners, and other stakeholders to deliver on key priorities.
  • Track communications and engagement campaigns and report on outcomes, sharing learnings with the wider team.
  • Liaise with media to identify and develop compelling stories about our projects.
  • Engage with the broader Corporate Affairs team to support the promotion of projects across digital and social media channels.
  • Assist the Communication Manager with the identification and management of issues, as required.

To be successful in this role, you will require a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in communications, PR, marketing, digital, media, or journalism. You will also need experience delivering integrated communication plans across traditional media, digital, and social media channels. A history of demonstrated professional and respectful behaviors and attitudes in a collaborative environment is essential.
