About the Role

Livestock SA is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for delivering strategic communications across digital, print and media channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and write compelling content to engage stakeholders and promote key messages
  • Manage social media accounts and maintain the organisation's website
  • Coordinate media opportunities and manage event communications
  • Monitor relevant news and policy developments that may impact members
  • Prepare communication reports and analytics for senior management
  • Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to identify and create meaningful content
  • Support membership enquiries and provide information and services to producers
  • Manage and maintain the CRM membership database
  • Support recruitment and retention of members through tailored communications
Requirements
  • Demonstrated professional experience and qualifications in communications, media or marketing
  • Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy in writing, editing and formatting content
  • High-level proficiency with website CMSs, social media platforms and CRM systems
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of agriculture and rural issues (livestock industry preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships with members, media and partners
