Job Overview

This senior management role is responsible for leading the development and coordination of the department's contributions to the State Budget process.

The successful candidate will lead a team in managing system processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering high-quality, cost-effective technology services across both the department and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), via shared services.

This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret financial and operational data.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can shape high-impact budget submissions and strategic deliverables, ensuring consistency, transparency, and accountability.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement systems and processes that support the effective execution of the State Budget process.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Department's contributions to the State Budget process.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with government, eHealth, and ETB strategies and policies.
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

Required Skills:

  • A relevant tertiary or post-graduate qualification in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government budget processes and associated deliverables.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial and operational data.
