Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior retail construction professional to lead high-quality projects in Melbourne.

With tertiary education in property and construction, you will oversee major fit-outs and new build works for owned and leased property, optimising the brand position with exceptional results.

The ideal candidate will have around five to 10+ years of project delivery experience, predominantly within commercial, retail, or hospitality industries.

Key requirements include owning a trade background, being an effective communicator with high levels of emotional intelligence, and having strong attention to detail and task management skills.

You will review ongoing business activities to think multiple steps ahead and present opportunities that enhance commercial outcomes.

A successful candidate will gain valuable property projects and development experience with a team of credible property specialists.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Project management from start to finish
  • Dealing with plans, architects, and external consultants for project development
  • Reviewing ongoing business activities to think multiple steps ahead and present opportunities

Experience with 'Smartsheets' or similar project tracking tools would be beneficial but not essential.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in property and construction
  • Predominant experience within commercial, retail, or hospitality industries
  • Strong time-management skills and a disciplined approach to OH&S, strategy, and reporting
  • Effective communication and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter
  • Attention to detail and task management skills
