Job Summary

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a newly formed multidisciplinary team, driving collaboration, inclusion, and high performance while promoting innovation and continuous improvement in care for detainees.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of primary healthcare services in a detention facility, managing resources flexibly to meet business and workflow requirements, and adopting and promoting a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement.

This leadership role requires exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, motivate teams, and foster an inclusive, positive, and engaged culture.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of primary healthcare services, including managing resources and adopting a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Clinical Governance: Develop and implement clinical governance frameworks to ensure timely, responsive, and appropriate service delivery and continuity of care.
  • Risk Management: Actively participate in risk management systems to enhance service delivery and outcomes, and support the development of an organisational culture that prioritises proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Requirements
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing degree with a minimum of five years' post-graduate clinical experience in a relevant field.
  • Professional Experience: At least five years' experience in leadership or management roles within a complex healthcare environment.
  • Registration: Current AHPRA registration in Nursing or another relevant clinical profession with no conditions.
