Role DetailsWe are seeking experienced Health Service Medical Practitioners, General Practitioners or Rural Generalists registered with either the Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP) or the Australian College Regional Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
- Key skills in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics, Anaesthetics, Surgery and/or General Medicine are highly regarded.
- Rural Generalists have expertise providing medical care for rural and remote or isolated communities.
Rural Generalists must demonstrate an understanding of the diverse needs of rural communities, applying a population approach, primary care, secondary and emergency care, culturally engaged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' health care and providing specialised medical care in at least one additional discipline.
This is a critical role in both medical stabilisation and preparing patients for transfer to tertiary care facilities.
Applicants must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
