We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Venue Support Officer to join our team at a local art gallery.

The gallery presents a diverse and engaging exhibition program centered around a range of annual themes. Through collaborations with local and national artists, visitors will encounter art experiences that spark curiosity and creativity.

Visitors of all ages can extend their exhibition experience in the gallery's dedicated engagement space. Throughout the year, a variety of events and activities are presented, from hands-on artist-led workshops to family-friendly school holiday programs.

As a Venue Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for our visitors and responsible for providing them with memorable and positive experiences. Your exceptional customer service skills will be used to invite, engage, and connect visitors to our exhibitions.

You will:

  • use your interpersonal skills to deliver and support gallery programs and events as well as supporting the operations of the gallery
  • actively contribute to a positive team environment, with the opportunity to assist with the installation and de-installation of exhibitions
About You

Bring your passion for face-to-face customer service in a fast-paced environment, and experience within cultural services or at a cultural facility or venue including museums, galleries, and libraries.

Share your natural ability to build relationships with a diverse audience, and your respectful and friendly work style that allows you to work autonomously and also thrive in a collaborative team.

A Working with Children Blue Card is a requirement of this role, and having a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate is desirable.
