Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Training and Development Technical Coordinator to lead our technical and operational training initiatives within System Control. This pivotal role is crucial in ensuring that our staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to support the quality delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with the organization's operational and organizational goals.
  2. Program Development: Design, develop, deliver, assess, and report on a wide range of technical training programs to enhance workforce competency and capability.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training content is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards and advancements.
  4. Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Oversee the scheduling and delivery of training programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. Drive continuous improvement by evaluating the effectiveness of these programs and integrating industry best practices.
  5. Competency Development: Identify learning opportunities and implement competency-based training requirements to strengthen our workforce's capabilities.

Requirements
  • Possess an AQF Certificate III or equivalent in the Electrical Distribution and Transmission Industry and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Have extensive experience in designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating technical training and assessment within an operational environment.
  • Demonstrate high-level conceptual, analytical, and collaborative skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Have proven leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organisational goals.
Desirable
  • An AQF Certificate III in Electro Technology or equivalent.
  • A degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Psychology, or Organisational Development (or equivalent knowledge).
  • Experience in the development and implementation of strategic workforce capability programs.
