Part-time Family Therapist

This is a permanent part-time role based in Parramatta, working 4 days per week with one day from Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality individual, youth and family therapy to repair and strengthen family relationships and individual self-determination.
- Conduct family therapy using a multi-disciplinary approach in conjunction with other counselling staff.
- Offer child consultation as part of child inclusive practice to families after separation and divorce, including involuntary and court-ordered clients.
- Develop, facilitate and promote clinical group work programs within the centre and with external stakeholders such as community services and schools.
- Liaise with relevant agencies to deliver effective and high-quality services to clients supporting specific case management models.
- Hold tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work or a relevant field.
- Have at least three years' experience delivering individual, youth, family and couples therapy, and/or experience facilitating group programs.
- Demonstrate ability to manage high conflict individuals, youth and families with complex issues.
- Show competence in working with issues of family violence.
- Display understanding of child protection issues.
- Possess excellent communication, organisation and report writing skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and contribute to team functioning.
- Show capacity to meet program-specific client targets.
- Hold accredited post graduate training in individual, youth or family therapy.
- Be eligible for membership to relevant professional bodies e.g. AASW, APS, PACFA.
- Experience working with court-ordered and involuntary clients.
- Prior experience in youth group facilitation.
- Experience working within a family law or child protection context.
- Training in couples' therapy.
- Familiarity with the Family Law Act and other relevant legislation.
