Job Title: Safety & Training Coordinator About the Role: 

The Safety and Training Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all site participants are trained to legislative requirements and organizational standards.

This position requires a strong focus on promoting a positive health, safety, and training culture in the workplace. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with leaders, employees, and external providers to ensure that health, safety, and training requirements are well understood and consistently applied across the organization.

The Safety and Training Coordinator is accountable for conducting training and assessment for personnel, assisting the leadership team in ensuring employee compliance with organizational site health, safety, and training requirements, and providing specialist training advice and service to all management levels within the organization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training and assessment for personnel, in line with organizational requirements to ensure all safety and operational targets are met.
  • Assist the leadership team to ensure all employees are compliant with the organizational site health, safety, and training requirements.
  • Provide specialist training advice and service to all management levels within the organization.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and Intuition database.
  • Ensure all employees' training records are recorded and stored in accordance with organizational requirements.
  • Participate in incident investigations and support the tracking of preventative actions through to completion when required.
  • Provide specialist advice and support with regard to all relevant training legislation and organizational safety policies and procedures.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and other health and safety training programs as required.
  • Support the hygiene monitoring program by conducting atmospheric contaminant sampling and calibration of sampling equipment when required.
  • Complete health, safety, and training audits and inspections in accordance with organizational compliance monitoring program and prepare reports clearly articulating findings, non-compliances, and opportunities for improvement.
