About the Role
A key member of the Mission Action team, the Seniors and Supported Living Chaplain works collaboratively to provide holistic care and support to residents, family members, and staff in a Residential Aged Care facility.
The role is responsible for facilitating a holistic pastoral care program, nurturing a Jesus Centred spirituality, and functioning as a key member of the inter-disciplinary team contributing pastoral and spiritual insights toward the overall care of a resident.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate a holistic pastoral care program
• Nurture a Jesus Centred spirituality through the provision of religious services and programs
• Function as a key member of the inter-disciplinary team, contributing pastoral and spiritual insights toward the overall care of a resident
• Develop a healthy community where residents feel a sense of welcome and home, in partnership with staff
• Work with volunteers to flourish further care within the service
About You
You are an active Christian with leadership and management skills, able to deliver results and engage with internal and external stakeholders. You have a recognised pastoral care or ministry qualification or equivalent experience, and are able to be endorsed as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland.
You possess a current National Police Certificate and Working with Children (Blue Card), and are willing to travel inter/intrastate periodically. You closely align with our organisational values of Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust, Wise Stewardship, and Safety.
