About the role

We are seeking a dedicated School Chaplain You will support the emotional well-being of students by providing pastoral care services and strategies that support the broader school community within Salvation Army's mission and values.

Responsibilities include
- Provide spiritual and pastoral care, encouraging people to explore their spirituality and move forward in their personal faith journey
- Facilitate Christian ceremonies and services according to rites of The Salvation Army
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students about values and ethical matters, referring students, or sourcing appropriate services
- Positive relationships are established within school community, local corps, other TSA mission expressions and the Victoria Division Chaplaincy Team
- Work as member of school's well-being team in delivery of student well-being services

This is a fixed-term part-time position, 14 hours per week, contracted until 2027, based in Frankston North, VIC.

You will have
- Diploma of Chaplaincy_ (or willingness to complete)_
- Training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- Relevant qualifications in theological studies_ (preferred)_
- Positive Lifestyle Program (PLP) Facilitator training _(preferred)_
- Meet yearly credentialing requirements of Territorial Chaplaincy Support Unit (TCSU) to be registered as a TSA Chaplain, including provision of pastoral supervision log, professional development log and ecclesiastical endorsement
- Regular attendance at a Christian place of worship
- Salvation Army branded clothing to be worn
- Valid and current Drivers Licence_ (if required for tool of trade car or pool car _access)_
