Job Opportunity: Ground Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role:

The Trade Ground Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in our organization, working closely with team members to train and supervise them in their work-related activities.

This is an ongoing, full-time position requiring a 5-day roster with rotating shifts. We offer a competitive pay and conditions package, training and development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop team members through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them as part of a cohesive unit to improve work skills, enhance post-release employment prospects, and contribute to business objectives.
  • Oversee daily activities to ensure productivity, efficiency, and achievement of commercial objectives while meeting Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management requirements, and customer service needs.
  • Support and train team members and staff in work-related activities within the correctional centre.
  • Maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety policies and related legislation.
Requirements:
  • Possess a trade qualification in Horticulture (Landscaping or Parks & Gardens), Construction, Carpentry, Plumbing, or other related trade (Certificate 3 Minimum).
  • Hold a current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or have the capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice within specified timeframes.
  • Hold a current NSW Driver Licence and be prepared to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
  • Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one.
