Insurance Administration Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned insurance and claims professional to join our team. As an experienced administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant insurance and claims processing.

  • Assess and approve claims for death, terminal illness, and permanent incapacity, adhering to relevant legislation and policies.
  • Review declined claims, participate in review meetings, and advocate for fair outcomes for our members.
  • Collaborate with partners and internal teams to ensure seamless administration.
  • Identify trends, risks, or issues and proactively escalate or resolve them.
  • Manage workflow and competing priorities to finalize claims efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, templates, and registers.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance the member experience.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in insurance/claim management/administration (ideally within superannuation or insurance).
  • Strong knowledge of insurance settlement processes, superannuation law, and compliance.
  • Sharp analytical skills – able to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • High level of compassion and excellent communication skills – able to explain complex decisions clearly.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with members during challenging times.
  • Strong organizational skills – calm under pressure, with the ability to juggle tasks without compromising quality.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced).
  • Qualifications in law, business, or a related discipline highly regarded.
