Embark on a Mechanical Engineering Journey

This apprenticeship presents a unique opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, allowing you to develop essential skills and competence in the mechanical trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and breakdown repairs of diesel equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Conduct precise measurements, set up machinery, prepare materials, tools, and fixtures for machining operations
  • Undertake various machining processes, including drilling, reaming, turning, milling, grinding, and boring
  • Service, repair, and maintain existing mining equipment, adhering to industry standards
  • Assist in general duties within the limits of your skills, competence, and ability as an apprentice

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent mathematical skills
  • A genuine interest in the Engineering Mechanical trade
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A current driver's license (P1 or above)
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol screen
