Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to pursue a Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade qualification through a combination of formal training and hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs of diesel mining equipment
  • Mark out tasks, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures for machining operations
  • Undertake various machining tasks, including drilling, reaming, turning, milling, grinding and boring
  • Service, repair and maintain existing mining equipment
  • Assist with general duties within the limits of the skills, competence, and ability of an apprentice
Requirements
  • Able to commence in a timely manner
  • Commitment to both on and off-the-job training
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with good mathematical skills, and a genuine interest in the Engineering Mechanical trade
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
