Overview

We are seeking a Consultant Physician to lead our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality specialist medical services.

This role is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest-growing health services in Western Australia.

As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General provides high-quality general medical, surgical, and mental health services as well as outpatient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Department and fellow Consultants to meet national, state, and service standards and targets.
  • Patient Safety & Quality Care: Champion patient safety and ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Education & Training: Provide orientation, training, supervision, and education for doctors in training, health service medical practitioners, and other health workers.
  • Clinical Practice: Operate within the scope of clinical practice as defined by the Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

Requirements
  • Current registration with the relevant medical board
