Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to repairs, maintenance and installation of mechanical equipment at water and sewage networks in the ACT and surrounding region.

  • Respond to and undertake reactive maintenance tasks in accordance with task priorities, deadlines and process operations.
  • Coordinate task completion within available team resources, operational & procedural constraints and systems availability.
  • Complete documentation and reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participate in an emergency on-call roster as required to provide a 24 hour, 7 day a week breakdown and maintenance service.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with various types of pumps, valves, gearboxes and other process industry equipment.

A current ACT Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent is also required.

Bonus points if you have experience in machining and welding techniques.

  • Fundamental Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability, skills and experience to perform maintenance duties on various types of pumps, valves, gearboxes and other process industry equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience working under and in accordance with a comprehensive safety system.
  • ACT Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent.
  • Experience in machining and welding techniques.
