Fire Alarm Installation and Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Installation and Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fire protection services division, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.

The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with fire alarm systems. You will also have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have a strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records of all work performed. You will also be committed to safety and quality, with a valid driver's license and willingness to work in the Canberra region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and client requirements
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with fire alarm systems and develop recommendations for corrective action
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all work performed
  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients regarding fire alarm systems
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year's experience working with fire alarm systems
  • Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing or equivalent
  • NSW Electrical License
  • White Card or Construction Induction Card
  • Strong technical background and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
