Who will you be working with? Reporting to Maintenance Manager. The purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to provide support on all maintenance projects in the company. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician will be to conduct activities that ensure that all software and hardware is in good working order, meets safety and regulatory requirements, conduct preventive maintenance activities, and address any functional issues which arise. They will also work closely with clients to meet contractual requirements.

Where is the position located? This is Permanent full time position at Woolloongabba, Brisbane QLD

What will your typical day look like?- Maintain various equipment including network switches, CCTV cameras, passenger information equipment, workstations and servers across client and internal systems.- Carry out routine maintenance on the various systems.- Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults.- Provide remote and/or in person preventative and routine maintenance.- Provide on-call support as part of a roster.

Project communications responsibilities:
- Design, test and commission network and communication elements.- Review network and communication element designs.

IT responsibilities:
- Manage Tehnika's sub-contracted IT company.- Design changes to office infrastructure to facilitate business requirements.- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot customer workstation hardware, software, networked peripherals devices, cabling and networking hardware and software products.- Prepare documentation, procedures manuals and help sheets for Tehnika systems and technologies.- Maintain security solutions, including firewall, VPN services, anti-virus, CCTV, swipe card and intrusion detection systems.- Maintain asset management of OT equipment including software licences and security certificates.- Liaise and provide training support to work colleagues.- Perform server and security audits.- Monitor adherence to system backups and verify that they are being completed successfully.- Investigate new solutions and technologies for use in client and internal systems.

What do we want to know about you?- Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT or a related field.- Experience in a similar role providing maintenance and/or IT support.- Knowledge of maintenance procedures, practices, and techniques in the relevant industry.- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment faults and failures using analytical and troubleshooting skills.- Ability to prioritize tasks, schedule maintenance activities, and manage resources effectively.- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, procedures, and practices, and the ability to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.- Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve equipment reliability.- Holds a security licence or has the ability to obtain a security licence in all of locations the company provides on-call support.
