Procurement Transformation and Governance Lead

This role is a pivotal position that oversees the transformation of procurement functions, ensuring the adoption of best practices across the organisation. The Procurement Transformation and Governance Lead will be responsible for coordinating procurement governance and assurance initiatives across all spend exceeding $150K.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing procurement frameworks, tools, and training programs

  • Conducting assurance checks and audits to maintain governance and identify risks

  • Serving as a key escalation point for procurement-related governance and risk issues

  • Providing expert advice on legislative and policy compliance (e.g., Modern Slavery Act, ESG)

  • Driving transformation and innovation initiatives to enhance procurement systems and processes

  • Supporting high-risk procurement activities and negotiations

  • Collaborating with teams to align procurement initiatives and improve capability


The successful candidate will possess minimum 10 years' experience in a procurement leadership role, with a strong background in governance, systems implementation, and process improvement. They should have demonstrated ability to lead in complex environments, deep understanding of government procurement policies and compliance frameworks, exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, and qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Law or MCIPS accreditation.
