Highway Infrastructure Specialist

This role is responsible for overseeing and managing third-party access to highway, stormwater, cycling, and pedestrian infrastructure across the municipality.
The successful candidate will ensure that all access and restoration activities comply with local engineering standards and relevant legislation.
- Manage applications for road openings, pedestrian occupations, filming permits, hoardings, and other reserve uses
- Provide technical guidance and enforce conditions under the Highway Act
- Monitor developer and contractor compliance, addressing non-conformance issues promptly
- Support implementation of council initiatives such as Road Naming and Alcohol-Free Zones
- Strong understanding of the Highway Act, municipal infrastructure, and authority responsibilities
- Proven experience in managing access to and impacts on public infrastructure
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
