Highway Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Infrastructure Specialist to oversee and manage third-party access to road, stormwater, cycling, and footpath infrastructure across the municipality. This key role ensures that access and restoration activities comply with Council's engineering standards and relevant legislation.
This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise in managing access to public infrastructure and contributing to policy reviews.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and manage applications for road openings, footpath occupations, filming permits, hoardings, and other road reserve uses.
- Provide technical guidance and enforce conditions under the Roads Act (Section 138).
- Monitor developer and contractor compliance, addressing non-conformance issues promptly.
- Facilitate implementation of Council initiatives such as Road Naming and Alcohol-Free Zones.
- Strong understanding of the Roads Act, municipal infrastructure, and road authority responsibilities.
- Proven experience in managing access to and impacts on public infrastructure.
- Sound understanding of road restoration standards, vehicular crossings, hoardings, and mobility access.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
