About Laing O'Rourke Rail Operations- Signalling (NSW)

We are currently seeking experienced Signalling Electrical Installers to work on a variety of projects across Sydney and surrounding areas, including the Digital Systems project, Sydney Trains MSA projects, TAP Station Upgrade project, and More Trains More Services MTMS Stage 3 project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement varying levels of Signalling works for activities being undertaken in the rail corridor.
  • Work across all our Sydney sites, including the Seven Hills Depot.
  • Travel to regional areas as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
  • Construction industry white card
  • Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW), with the following
  • Licenced Sydney Trains Signal Electrical Installer (SEI)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Certificate of Competency on both Sydney Trains and ARTC networks as a signal electrical Installer
  • Full ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including Rail CAT Specific medical & drug and alcohol screening
  • Available to cover weekends, based on project requirements.

  • Are committed to ensuring that all requirements of Signalling Safeworking rules are implemented in the field.
  • Are excellent communicators and able to confidently work with high-performance rail teams.
  • Able to work weekends and nightshifts when required.
  • Follow Laing O'Rourke Next Gear Safety Principles.
  • Undertake additional training as and when required.
  • Solid experience working effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Experience adapting to change in a working environment.
  • Willingness to embrace new ideas/learning.
  • Solid time management and organisational skills.
  • Practical experience in risk assessment of activities and tasks.
  • Willingness to mentor and train new team members joining the project team.
  • Ability to compile Signalling packages for specific project works.
  • Cable Installation and Termination works.
  • Wiring of Signalling Racks and Trackside Equipment.
  • Installation of Trackside Equipment.
  • Assist with Testing of Signalling Infrastructure.
