Green Leaves Early Learning is a state-of-the-art childcare centre located on Starling Drive in Kirkwood, designed to cater to the evolving needs of children from six weeks to six years old.

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Educator to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Job Description

This is a full-time position that requires you to work closely with our centre director, other educators, and support staff to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for our children. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualised educational programs tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of each child;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and deliver activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development;
  • Monitoring and reporting on children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for further support or extension;
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's attendance, health, and wellbeing;
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved);
  • A current Working with Children's Check;
  • A current Child Protection Training certification;
  • A willingness to obtain Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid certifications;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues;
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands;
