Job Title: Water Management Specialist

About the Role:

The Senior Hydrometric Officer is responsible for assisting in the delivery of the construction and maintenance program for the South Australian groundwater network. This includes an extensive network of surface and subsurface infrastructure such as headworks for high and low pressure regulation of water, and major plant and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the groundwater management plan;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination;
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of water infrastructure and equipment;
  • Collect and enter hydrological data into information systems;
  • Support the collection and analysis of water quality samples;
  • Participate in fire management and associated duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as hydrology, environmental science, or engineering;
  • Experience in water management and infrastructure maintenance;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A current 'C' class driver's licence and willingness to drive.
