Job Title: Senior Water Resource Consultant

This role presents an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of integrated water management in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex water management projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Manage and grow client relationships, focusing on key stakeholders across NSW.
  • Oversee project resources, budgets, and timelines, delivering projects efficiently and to high quality standards.
  • Take the lead in business development activities, preparing proposals and presentations, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental or Civil Engineering (or related field) with relevant experience in water resources/Integrated Water Management within a consulting business environment.
  • A strong technical foundation in hydrology/catchment modelling, water-sensitive urban design, and modelling software (TUFLOW FV/Source, TUFLOW Catch, MUSIC, MIKE).
  • Proven project management experience, including planning, budgeting, and execution of water management projects.
  • Knowledge of integrated water management principles, practices, and limitations, including water, nutrient, and energy balance.
  • Ability to help formulate project scope, and guide client direction of planning projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, engaging with stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic mindset and ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining a focus on delivering quality results.
  • A strong desire to bring positive change to the Australian water industry.
  • A passion for Australian waterways and the values they contribute to communities.
