Key Human Resources Role

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in helping our organisation achieve its objectives and adapt to change.

You will provide expert guidance and support on a wide range of HR matters, working closely with a portfolio of state schools and central and regional office staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and practical HR advice to school leaders and staff across state schools, central, and regional offices.
  • Develop and implement workforce plans, structures, and processes that meet school and department needs.
  • Support change management and build strong relationships with school leaders and other clients to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Assist with recruitment, performance management, and conflict/grievances.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies, processes, and systems to improve how we work.
  • Provide general advice on workplace health and safety, staff wellbeing, and return-to-work programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong background in HR.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative HR solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with school leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, performance management, and workplace health and safety practices.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing change and supporting staff.
