About UsKennedy Reid, a renowned Third Party Claims Administrator in Australia, is seeking an experienced Claims Team Leader to manage their established team of 12 consultants with varying levels of seniority in the Medical Negligence claims space.
The RoleThis senior leadership position involves:
- Managing a team of 12 claims consultants handling complex and contentious medical negligence cases.
- Providing training, decision approvals, and support to team members on complex claims.
- Liaising with stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, lawyers, and litigators, to facilitate effective case management.
- Understanding policy wordings and advising policyholders, key claimants, and stakeholders accordingly.
Apart from these responsibilities, this role demands exceptional organizational skills, great communication abilities, and a team-centric approach to leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams or people leadership experience, as well as a deep understanding of operational processes and procedures in team environments.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling medical negligence, medical malpractice, professional indemnity, or complex liability claims end-to-end.
- Previous experience in managing teams or people leadership roles.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and maintain excellent time management skills.
