Job Title: Claims Team Leader - Medical Negligence

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Claims Team Leader to manage our Medical Negligence claims team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical negligence, medical malpractice, complex liability, or professional indemnity claims.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of 12 claims consultants with varying levels of seniority
* Provide training, decision approvals, and support to team members on complex and contentious claims
* Provide support and advice to policy holders, key claimants, and stakeholders
* Liaise with stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, lawyers, and litigators
* Ability to understand policy wordings

Requirements:

* Previous experience handling Medical Negligence, Medical Malpractice, Professional Indemnity, or Complex Liability claims end to end for a minimum of 2 years
* Previous experience managing a team or in people leadership
* Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines
* Understanding of operational processes and procedures required in team environments
* Experience in managing claims and stakeholders effectively
* A team-centric approach to leadership
* Exceptional organizational skills
* Great communication skills
