Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per annum + Super

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Claims Team Leader to spearhead our Medical Negligence team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee a team of 12 consultants with varying levels of experience, providing guidance, support, and training on complex and contentious claims. Your role will involve managing multiple stakeholders, including policy holders, claimants, doctors, nurses, lawyers, and litigators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 12 claims consultants, focusing on medical negligence cases
  • Provide expert training, decision approvals, and support to team members on complex claims
  • Offer exceptional service to policy holders, claimants, and other stakeholders
  • Liaise with external parties, such as healthcare professionals and legal experts
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines

Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will have at least 2 years of experience handling complex medical negligence, malpractice, or professional indemnity claims. You should possess strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing teams or leading people. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential. You must also be able to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with regular collaboration with colleagues.
