Investment Governance & Risk Analyst Role

This role requires a talented professional to join our team and manage investment governance and risk. The ideal candidate will have experience in investment compliance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • Manage regular production and accurate compliance monitoring for investment activities.
  • Proactively monitor adherence to procedures and control checks on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Take ownership of the quarterly third-party fund manager due diligence questionnaire process.
  • Assist with the investigation of breaches and incidents and ensure timely resolution and improvement to the control environment.
  • Assist with regulatory filings and review OTC derivatives reporting.
  • Monitor shareholder reporting requirements, including any FIRB exclusions and investment mandate exclusion monitoring.
  • Suggest improvements to manual processes and streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Escalate any exceptions to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on investment governance and risk management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in investment compliance.
  • Strong understanding of fund or investment management processes, including market movements and asset manager processes.
  • Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of financial systems.
  • Tertiary qualification and/or industry-specific qualification.
  • Experience with Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firms is preferred but not essential.
